Spend 2–12 transformative weeks living and learning at Bodhi Tree School in rural India. As an intern, you’ll take the lead on a purpose-driven project in your area of passion — from sustainability and special education to creative arts, media, health, or community development.

No- not at all. We welcome people from all backgrounds. What matters most is your heart, your presence and your willingness to learn and support.

Yes. Most interns and volunteers join solo - and leave feeling part of the family.

Yes. Bodhgaya is peaceful and we have hosted many solo female interns and volunteers. Accommodation is secure and support is always availabe.

No. Most of the school staff and many older students speak basic English. We’ll also support you with local language basics during your stay.

Yes. Many university students complete placements here. We provide certificates, documentation and letters of reference if needed.

Yes. For internships and volunteering, a Tourist Visa is sufficient. We’ll send a letter of support upon request.
